FAQ

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?

Both store timed text. SRT is widely supported by editors; VTT is common for web video tracks.

Are subtitles burned into the video?

No. Export produces a separate subtitle file that you can load into a compatible player or editor.

Can I fix inaccurate timings?

Yes. Edit each subtitle's start and end time, or shift all of them, and check the result in the preview.

How long can a subtitle line be?

Export wraps text to two lines of up to about 42 characters, and splits longer text into consecutive subtitles.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Transcription and subtitle editing run in your browser.
